Terms for listings, stores and providers
Last updated 18 October 2026
These terms add to our Terms of use and Acceptable use policy. They apply when you list something others can buy, book, adopt, donate to, attend or apply for: a store or products in the shop, a pet-care provider profile, a directory listing, a rescue page, a fundraiser, an event, a deal or a job.
You run your own business or group
- You are independent of Guyana Paws. You are responsible for what you offer, its quality and safety, and for your staff, volunteers and premises.
- You must have any registration, licence, permit or qualification your work needs in Guyana (for example to practise as a vet, sell food or medicines, run a business or collect donations), and follow the laws that apply, including consumer, tax and animal welfare laws.
- Only list on behalf of a business or group if you are allowed to.
Accurate listings
- Describe what you offer truthfully: prices in G$, what is included, delivery or pickup, opening hours, availability and any conditions.
- Keep your listing up to date, and hide or remove it when you can no longer offer it.
- Use only photos and text you have the right to use.
Payments, refunds and problems
- Customers, clients and donors pay you directly. Guyana Paws does not take payments, hold money or give refunds.
- You set and honour your own payment, cancellation and refund terms, and tell people what they are before they commit.
- Handle complaints promptly and politely. If a dispute can’t be settled, it is between you and the customer.
- If we have agreed a fee or commission with you, for example for a featured listing or a store, it is the one shown in your store settings or agreed with us in writing. We’ll tell you before any fee changes.
Animals in your care
- Animals you care for, groom, train, transport or rehome must be treated humanely and kept safe, with water, shade and veterinary care when needed.
- The shop is for pet supplies only. No live animals are sold through the shop.
- Rescues and fosters rehome animals responsibly, and are honest about each animal’s health and behaviour.
Fundraisers
- Raise money only for the purpose you describe, and use it for that purpose. Keep records, and be ready to show donors how the money was used.
- You are responsible for following any rules on public fundraising that apply to you.
Reviews and verification
- Don’t write, buy or ask for fake reviews, or offer anything in return for good ones. You may reply once to a review, politely.
- A “Verified” badge only means we saw some information when we approved you. Don’t present it as an endorsement or a licence.
Personal information you receive
Use customers’ names, phone numbers, emails and addresses only to deal with that order, booking, application or donation. Don’t add them to marketing lists without their permission, share them, or keep them longer than you need.
If you break these terms
We may hide or remove your listing, store, products or profile, remove a badge or close your account, as described in the Terms of use. You are responsible for claims that arise from what you offer.
